Understand that every project management style is different. Documentation are organized differently. So long all-critical details are documented, the successor will have sometimes, no choice but to re-adjust all the documents and understanding.
To avoid handover conflicts, suggest you start to organize your project documentation in an organized format. (Subjective: organized in who’s standard). It will be easy for you to handover the projects when you are on long vacation, or you hand over the entire project to the operational team.
Actually, to organize the project documentation, can arrange files by the PMI 5 processes, namely,
- Monitoring & Control,
Individual project phased documents stored in respective folders.
The document is much easier to be extracted when in need.
